Which test does VoyaLang grade?
IELTS Academic and General Training - both Task 1 and Task 2 in each. Pick your exam type when you start a writing and the rubric, prompt library, and scoring tune to that variant.
How accurate is the band score?
We tune VoyaLang to be as close as possible to what a trained IELTS examiner would return across the four descriptors, and we publish our methodology. That said, AI scoring is not a replacement for the official IELTS test: a human examiner may reach a different conclusion, and we do not guarantee an exact match. Treat VoyaLang as a rigorous practice tool, not a verdict.
What do I get back on every attempt?
A score for each of the four IELTS Writing criteria with a short "Why this score" note under each, an overall band, an inline diff of every suggested change, a corrections list explaining each change, and an improved rewrite of your essay.
Will I be penalized for being under the word limit?
Yes - the same way the real test penalizes you. If you submit under 150 words on Task 1 or 250 on Task 2, VoyaLang will warn you and, if you submit anyway, mark Task Response down accordingly.
How long does feedback take?
Typically 30-45 seconds, depending on how busy the AI is at that moment. Your results appear as soon as they are ready.
Can I export my results?
Yes. Every result can be exported as a PDF containing your original essay, the band breakdown, all corrections, and the improved version - useful for tutors and prep schools.
